St. Anna Children's Hospital

Center for paediatrics and adolescent medicine

As the largest treatment center for children and adolescents with cancer in Austria, St. Anna Children's Hospital in Vienna is also highly specialized in other haematological and immunological diseases. Children and adolescents with acute and chronic illnesses are treated here with a focus on prevention, sustainable treatment and training for those affected and their caregivers.

With its friendly, colorful wards and playrooms, the St. Anna Children's Hospital is optimally adapted to the special needs of children. A familiar ward team of doctors, nurses and psychologists aims to make the stay as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

The hospital has a total of eight wards with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. In addition to medical treatment and care, the care concept also integrates psychosocial support for patients and their families.

The Ronald McDonald House Vienna in Kinderspitalgasse is an important addition to St. Anna Children's Hospital. This house offers affected families a protected space close to the hospital where they can find peace and quiet and receive important support during the often long treatment periods. The close connection between St. Anna Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House creates a comprehensive support network that significantly improves the quality of life of children and adolescents and their families during the recovery process.

St. Anna Children's Hospital's specialization in haematological, oncological and immunological diseases, as well as our department for stem cell transplants, means that numerous families from all over Austria and from other countries come to our clinic for treatment. The intensive cooperation with Ronald McDonald Kinderhilfe, which has existed for years, enables these families to find affordable, comfortable accommodation in close proximity to the hospital that meets medical requirements. The care team at the Ronald McDonald House is characterized by its sensitive and professional care of the families during the difficult and challenging time of their child's treatment. We are very grateful for this offer!
