Here you will find a summary of frequently asked questions and their answers. If you have any further questions, the team of the Ronald McDonald Houses in Wien Kinderspitalgasse will be happy to answer them.
Rooms are allocated in consultation with the St. Anna Children's Hospital and the attending physicians - primarily according to medical aspects, but social background and distance from home are also taken into account. The prerequisite for admission to the Ronald McDonald House is a medical certificate confirming the medical necessity of admission. If an apartment is available, there is nothing to stop you moving in. You can contact the Ronald McDonald House directly by phone or email to clarify all the details.
In order to support the day-to-day operations, we ask families to make a contribution towards expenses of 15 euros per night/apartment.
We support families with seriously ill children up to the age of 18.
The apartments in the Ronald McDonald House are allocated at short notice, so that no reservations can be made.
Once you have been admitted to the Ronald McDonald House, you can stay at the Ronald McDonald House until the end of your child's treatment.

Up to four people can usually stay in the apartments. Siblings and relatives are therefore also very welcome.
Please understand that pets cannot be accommodated in the Ronald McDonald House.
In this case, please contact the ward of the clinic treating you. It may be possible for you to stay overnight in the hospital or there may be a recommendation for inexpensive accommodation in the direct vicinity.
