Ronald McDonald House Vienna Borschkegasse
The Kinderhilfe house in Vienna's Borschkegasse opened in June 2018 and is located directly next to the University Hospital AKH. In cozy family rooms, 16 families find a „home away from home" close to the clinic.
The light-filled house with a large shared kitchen, playrooms, and a garden terrace provides a place for the families to recharge. Here, they can largely maintain their family life and be there for each other during this difficult time.
The proximity to parents and siblings has been proven to accelerate the healing process by up to a third and helps the young patients recover more quickly.
