Salzburger Landeskliniken SALK
Center for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine
University Hospital of the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU)
The Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at SALK unites the University Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, the Division of Neonatology, the Neurorehabilitation Center reKiZ and the University Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Surgery under one roof. They form a multi- and interdisciplinary center with short distances around the child. The clinics cover all important sub-disciplines of pediatric and adolescent medicine and work closely with other departments of the University Hospital in terms of space and content.
In Austria, the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine is one of the top medical facilities with a focus on level 1 care. In addition to many teaching duties, research at an international level is carried out in cooperation with the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU). Patients up to the age of 18 are treated from a supra-regional catchment area.
The Ronald McDonald Kinderhilfe House directly on the grounds of the Salzburg University Hospital Campus LKH offers affected families a place of retreat and the opportunity to maintain their family life despite the longer duration of therapy.

“The Ronald McDonald Children's Aid House offers families of seriously ill children who are being cared for at our clinic a temporary home. It is very important for the children to be close to their families. The Ronald McDonald House is a retreat for relatives where they can recharge their batteries. We are very grateful to the children's aid team and all donors for their generous support”.
