LKH-Univ. Klinikum Graz

University Clinic for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

The LKH University Hospital Graz is one of the three public university hospitals in Austria, alongside Innsbruck and Vienna. The state hospital has been affiliated with the Medical University of Graz since 2002. Its tasks therefore lie not only in patient care, but also in research and teaching.

Every year, around 11,000 children and adolescents are treated here as inpatients and around 100,000 children and adolescents as outpatients. This task is shared by five clinical departments and the joint area of the clinic with a total of 166 beds.

30% of these beds are in newly adapted parent-child rooms and around 7,000 accompanying persons are admitted each year. The outpatient area is divided into the large general outpatient clinic and emergency outpatient clinic with connected ultrasound diagnostics and 22 special outpatient clinics. The general refurbishment of the entire building was successfully completed and the team can now offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for young patients and adolescents.

The Ronald McDonald Kinderhilfe Haus Graz, located directly on the grounds of the hospital, offers affected parents and their siblings a protected space close to the hospital where they can find peace and quiet and receive important support during the often long treatment periods.
